Help play your part this World Environmental Month with the R.O.S.E Foundation

This month’s global focus is all about protecting the environment and creating awareness on the practice of supporting our precious planet. We all need to be mindful that this is an ongoing behavior and a choice that needs to go beyond 30 days. The onus is on all of us to ensure that our environment is supported and preserved – far beyond World Environmental Month.

The R.O.S.E Foundation (Recycling Oil Saves the Environment) is one such organisation that is mindful of protecting our future and our world, and has been supporting the planet since 1994. Their key interest is to protect and help the environment by collecting and recycling used lubricant oil so that it can be used positively instead of wasted, or worse disposed of into nature, harming our environment.

AutoZone is especially proud to announce that we have partnered up with this organisation in order to better our environmental footprint. Together with the R.O.S.E Foundation and your help, we can make a difference.

Did you know that used lubricant oil is especially harmful to the environment? If it is not collected and recycled properly, it can severely contaminate our waters and resources. To put this into perspective, one litre of water can easily contaminate up to one million litres of water and resources.

AutoZone is calling on businesses in South Africa that generate used motor lubricant oil to be the maker of change and ensure that they do their part in protecting and supporting our planet. We call on you to make this change and ask you to please drop any used motor lubricant oil off at our below selected stores. We want to give businesses comfort and assurance that your product will be disposed of safely and responsibly.
